IMPORTANT! Please note that the scientific track is only suitable for abstracts where the scope of work covers long-term research and analysis, and the development and improvement of design tools. This track does not address the direct application of R&D results and tools – such abstracts should be submitted under the General call for abstracts.

Review of abstracts

The Programme Committee and Scientific Committee will review all abstracts that have been submitted on time and in the specified format.  Abstracts will be scored according to their originality, content and relevance and will then be selected for oral presentation, poster presentation or rejection (see below).

Abstract submitters will be notified of the outcome of their submission by e-mail:

Abstracts may be:

- Accepted for oral presentation
Presenters need to prepare a PowerPoint presentation based on their abstract and will deliver their oral presentation of +/- 12 minutes in a conference session.

- Accepted for poster presentation
Presenters need to prepare a poster that will be placed on the poster presentation boards provided by the organiser. A dedicated poster viewing session will take place during the conference. Please note that poster presentations do not represent an opportunity to deliver a presentation orally.

- Rejected: no presentation possibility

All accepted presenters will also be required to submit a full paper for inclusion in the conference proceedings.

Registration

Registration of presenting authors
A registration fee is associated with all EWEA events and submitting an abstract for presentation at the EWEA Annual Event 2011 does not constitute registration for the conference.

All accepted presenters (oral and poster presentations) are required to register and pay the registration fee (for at least one day) in order to attend the event.
Accepted speakers (oral presentations only) are entitled to a non-transferable registration discount, available via the notification of acceptance.

All authors accepted for presentation must register for the conference before 15 January 2011 in order to confirm their presentation. Failure to do this could result in losing your presentation slot.
